When Melissa rescued her first greyhound seven years ago she began looking into racing and realised the cruelty of the sport and the welfare issues facing these beautiful dogs. She is now President of Free the Hounds and we have been successful in securing the first Parliamentary Inquiry into greyhound racing in WA.
Free The Hounds works with politicians, rescues and other stakeholders involved. Their main focus is to end greyhound racing and educate the public about the significant negative impacts around animal welfare and problem gambling.
