Flavia Coleman
Flavia has been a spiritual advisor and public speaker for 40 yrs. After watching Hidden Crimes – Animals in laboratories in the 90s she became an overnight activist. Half a dozen people successfully petitioned Wyong Council to cease sending surrendered pets to research labs. Inspired by “Hidden Crimes”, in 2015 she published Monkey Business: A Story of Soulmates and Primates, with co-author Kevin Coleman. They held their first vigil for Lab Animals outside Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 2016, and in 2017, with support of the Save Movement we started monthly vigils by Sydney Save Animals in Labs. As a speaker and writer, she uses her ‘word privilege’ for all sentient beings. Her vision is that our grandchildren will in time live in a world Beyond Speciesism.
