Douglas Leith
Doug has been involved with animal rights for over 30 years now, a journey which started with seeing film of vivisection. While this led to actions against all forms of animal abuse, vivisection has remained his primary focus and he has organised demonstrations, spoken at this and other forums and universities.
He cycled to Adelaide to raise funds for animals in laboratories and contributes to several groups.
He is a member of Mensa with a B.A. in philosophy but prefers to use the scientific/human health argument on this subject as it directly challenges the basis of animal experiments.
